This Mazda MX-5 Miata shift knob is a three piece design. The core of the knob is 11oz of machined stainless steel, making it satisfyingly heavy while running through the gears. Most weighted knobs are all steel, but the trouble is that they get very hot or very cold depending on the season. If you have accidentally touched the steel belt buckle on a hot day you know what we mean. The outer portion of the knob is machined from black acetal, so it still gets warm, but not like that belt buckle...
